The Diamond Institute
The Diamond Institute is an independent, private center devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. Since 1968 the Institute has offered, in one comprehensive setting, sophisticated state of the art laboratories, operating rooms, consultation offices and all support services.
The Diamond Institute’s comprehensive approach treats every couple as one unit, offering male and female infertility workups.
The Diamond Institute is an approved member and reports to The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies, (SART) a sub division of the American Fertility Society.
The facility is led by recognized medical and scientific staff, Matan Yemini, MD and Ndidiamaka Onwubalili, MD.
The atmosphere at DI is subdued, so that the patient does not feel overwhelmed. Our sympathetic, friendly environment reflects a profound concern for each patient’s well being. The highest level of scientific and technical competence is combined with utmost sensitivity to patients’ needs.

Our Doctors & Staff
Matan Yemini, MD
For more than 30 years, Dr. Matan Yemini has focused his interest, practice, and research on the spectrum of issues associated with reproductive endocrinology and infertility treatment.
A 1978 graduate of Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hebrew University School of Medicine, Dr. Yemini completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Kaplan University Hospital in Rehovot, Israel, obtaining his board certification in 1986. Dr. Yemini trained in reproductive endocrinology at Kaplan Medical Center’s Division of Reproductive Medicine and conducted his basic research at the Weitzman Institute for Science.
He performed an infertility fellowship at Tel Aviv’s Shiba Medical Center and later developed and directed Kaplan University Hospital’s IVF clinical and training program.
Dr. Yemini served as a senior physician in the Division of Reproductive Medicine there until 1987, when he joined the University of Miami School of Medicine as director of the IVF
laboratory.
Dr. Yemini joined Diamond Institute in 1989 with the task of further developing the Institute’s advanced reproductive technology program. He has published extensively and lectured on human reproduction to the medical community and to the public at national and international conferences and workshops. He holds a New Jersey license and memberships in the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, formerly the American Fertility Society; the American Society of Reproductive Immunology; the American Medical Association; the Society for the Study of Reproduction; and the North American Menopause Society.
Ndidi Onwubalili, MD
Dr. Ndidi Onwubalili has been offering excellent care at the Diamond Institute for many years.
Dr. Onwubalili received her undergraduate education at Georgian Court College in Lakewood, New Jersey. She graduated summa cum laude with honors in Biology. She went on to medical school at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire. She completed her residency training in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University Medical Center where she was selected as Administrative Chief Resident for the department. She completed subspecialty fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at New Jersey Medical School-UMDNJ.
During fellowship, Dr. Onwubalili’s research was presented at numerous national forums including annual meetings for the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Endocrine Society. She has also coauthored review papers and a book chapter.
Dr. Onwubalili is board-certified Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology. She is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and her clinical and research focus includes polycystic ovarian syndrome, fertility preservation, uterine fibroids and minimally invasive surgery.

Conveniently located in Denville, New Jersey offering comprehensive services needed for patient care to include consultation, cycle monitoring, ultrasound, endocrine and Andrology laboratory. All treatments such as insemination cycles and monitoring toward In-vitro fertilization, egg recipient and egg donation are performed on the premises while surgical procedures such as egg retrieval are performed in our main office located in Millburn, New Jersey.
